I've been playing with the Palm Pre SDK and emulator for months now, eagerly awaiting news of it's arrival here in BackwardLand.
Things just got one step closer with the GSM release of the Pre in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany.
From The official Palm Blog:
Europe says “Willkommen, failte, and welcome!” to Palm Pre
Today, O2 announced details about pricing and availability for Palm Pre in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany. The webOS phone will be available on 13 October in Germany and on 16 October in the U.K. and Ireland.
Details on tariffs for the phone and service plans will be available here for the UK, here for Ireland, and here for Germany. As with our network partners in the U.S. and Canada, O2 will be the exclusive carrier for Palm Pre for its launch in these countries.

Just a quick reminder to always check your camera settings before doing a shoot -- I was reminded of this recently when my partner came back from a holiday in South America.

Hi there ... long time reader, first time poster. Anyway, love the fish and all the good werkzorz he does behind the wheels of steel. Werd.

Yes yes, it has already been twenty years of net in Oz. Wow.
Read on for a mail from Geoff Huston on it, and my own ramblings...

And now the music industry stoops to even more amazing lows...
From Slashdot:
"ASCAP (the same folks who went after Girl Scouts for singing around a campfire) appears to believe that every time your musical ringtone rings in public, you're violating copyright law by 'publicly performing' it without a license. At least that's the import of a brief (PDF, 2.5 MB) it filed in ASCAP's court battle with mobile phone giant AT&T."

As insanely corny as this sounds, I feel rather musically "connected" to Tool. It has been a relationship of many years, and I simply cannot get enough of them.
Y'know, the band that you can just spin their albums and you never, ever, get tired of them. I guess it goes a litlle deeper for me.

So I guess it was coming -- and expected -- that sooner or later, Kevin Rudd would backdown after all of his diatribe about taking action on climate change.

His lucky break seems to have come in the form of an "economic crisis."
The quote of the moment (and I'll remind you, this is our prime minister... prime, minister), "This is big stuff for the nation. It's big stuff and I wish it was easier to do this - it ain't, it's really hard."

This was just a casual little jam that Ranjit and I had a month or so ago... turned out quite awesome :)
Download it here, and remember the rest of my sets are here :) Enjoy! Let me know what you think :)

Great gig out at Calder park, brought to us by ID&T! Had an awesome day, and it was great to hang with mates from different crews.
Highlights for me definately were Judge Jules and Simon Patterson. The rest were all a little too "hands in the air" fluffy for my liking.
Click "read more" for the vids :) No photos unfortunately, didn't get a press pass.
