O2's response regarding the Pre
The saga continues... this time, find my questions and the responses from O2 Germany.
O2 took a day or so to get back to me, and their English (just like my German) is patchy at best. Leave comments to tell me what you think they mean.
I said:
And if so, do I just return it to you if there are warranty repair issues?
Danke.
They replied:
thank you very much for your email.
It only would be possible to send the palm pre to australia when somone in germany obtain it
by a o2 my handy contract. We can not ship that in a foreign country.
It is also possible to pay the whole price directly.
But in case of warranty you would have to send back the devise to the owner of my handy contract to repair it. If you want to do it in australia, you wuld have to pay for it.
Kind regards,
Thomas Wagner from Customer Services o2
So it reads to me that on the one hand, "no, you can't have it unless you're German and go on a contract," and on the other "you can buy it outright."
Either way, it all seems a little too hard.
I'm still awaiting a response from palmandmore.de, but I bit the bullet tonight and ordered one from eXpansys!
... and now, the painful wait.
